Strength for the Broken Places – Endurance
This Sunday Pastor June Edwards finished out our series Strength for the Broken Places. She encouraged us to live with endurance just as Paul did after everything he had been through. She also told us the story of a man named Cliff Young, a 61-year-old living example of endurance. You can find more information about Cliff here. Pastor June reminded us that we shouldn’t just be “hanging in there” but enduring because we are sustained by God’s grace and love.
If you missed this Sunday, you can check it out here.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. -Hebrews 12:1-2 (ESV)

2. Where do you find fulfillment and contentment? What restores you? (Ideas: Reading the Bible, listening to worship music, having a conversation with a mentor or accountability partner, spending time with family, etc)
